@BlueFinch I was thinking it was '93 but could easily have been '94. The official temp at the airport out in the desert between Midland and Odessa was a couple degrees lower but in the city it was 120°. Did amazing things to my electric bill. It was just too darn hot in the summer for me to live there forever, although it's a nice city.

@Kachina624 Yeah, 120 degrees will have that electric meter spinning like a Frisbee. Midland gets hot, with some extremes, for sure. It's a little more manageable in SA.
Actually we're having the best summer in ages. We've been staying in the low to mid 90's. No three digits yet. But the humidity still drives up the heat index making it feel very uncomfortable. We've had enough rain to avoid strict water restrictions, too.
This is different for us. We will take it. This weather feels like a gift, considering other locations.
