An expression that always makes me cheer up

I was feeling really down and depressed today, and tried to cheer up by thinking about gung ho expressions, and telling myself to toughen up and just face my problems head on.

Then, I suddenly thought of an expression that really made me laugh and cheer up. It is "Put on your big girl panties"! I always find that expression so funny and such good advice at the same time. It really worked for me today. I managed to climb out of my doldrums and do what I had to do. Smile
