This was an admirable action on his part.  Loved watching his show as a child and now when I can find reruns.  He was in a very funny episode of Golden Girls.

My husband met him when we lived in California.  My husband would go to a lot of autograph shows and he was there.  DVD signed a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car replica and took a picture.  My husband said he was very nice, liked to talk and seemed to really enjoy his fans.

@SharkE ..............most homeless people do not have to worry about gas as they dont have cars.

How do you know that he does not donate more at other times?
