@Spurt  I don't mind the membership fee but every single thing I bought had an upcharge on it, some were significant. I didn't realize this when I started using it.

I found an alternative for now where I pay the store price for my food and do a pickup.  I'm glad instacart is available for those who need it, I just wish they would stop tacking on extra fees on the food.

Yes, I ended up paying quite a lot.  There was a delivery fee AND a service fee, and then of course a tip.  (The shoppers are paid practically nothing, so I felt I had to tip fairly well).

And in addition, the prices are higher than they are in the store.  I didn't expect Instacart to be any kind of bargain, but I was shocked at how expensive it ended up being once all of that was factored in.

They also have items on sale and electronic coupons which lower your bill often on items you regularly buy.   It is a little higher overall but I buy an annual membership and never have any others fees if I stay above $35.

Their customer service is prompt if you report any issue and before you blink you have a credit.    I give them FIVE stars.   My time and frustration is well worth the ease.   Now grocery shopping for me is STRESS FREE!  They always "deliver"....haha.

I recommend them highly regardless of what any Buzzfeed site may say.  I honestly don't quote them as a reliable news source.
