Most of what I know about having babies and a lot of the interesting stuff I learned from my daughters when they were pregnant.  Ha!  I'm still learning...never stop learning...never too old to learn...my Dad used to say..."teach an old dog new tricks"  (he changed the saying).

I come from a long line of strong, independent women.  I am no different from anyone else about trying out face creams, beauty products, etc.

But sometimes (I guess now at my age) I think it bares repeating that we women are amazing and we don't HAVE to have flawless, beautiful skin or an amazing body.  It's all about if we CHOOSE to work to achieve it.  We are all different.  Sometimes we all forget we are amazing and we 'attack' each other for one reason or another.  But when it comes down to it....we all know we are smart (and as the song goes....I am invincible...I am woman)....Ha!

Besides, where would this country be if we didn't spend zillions of dollars on making ourselves even better?

Amy needs to control Lori a lot better than she does.  She needs to get through the color choices without Lori going off on the garments features before she does.   She doesn't take control enough - Lori has control of the show mostly and that's not how it should be. Other hosts control Lori better.

I also don't think Amy is prepared.  Oftentimes she doesn't know the names of the colors that are abbreviated on her cards. She needs to review what's in the show first and if in doubt about a color abbreviation, ask before the show.  She gets them wrong too often.  "Cam" recently was camo green not chamomile, as just one example.  She also had no clue last week how to pronounce "haute" or what it was, and kept checking with Lori. Really, she's never heard of "haute couture?"  Again,  she needs to prepare much better and go over her products with her informational cards before the show, which clearly she doesn't.

She's not the only female host that's not prepared, but I think she's the biggest offender. I think her lazy use of the English language and grammar is just sad, not hip like I think she means it to be.

I agree she frequently is not prepared.  Then she blathers and natters to cover it up.

@blackhole99  I never said she was the only one.  I wrote that basically in disagreement of the poster somewhere above me who commented that Amy is always prepared.   No, she certainly isn't.

It's hard to imagine hosts getting up before an audience of thousands and not taking a few minutes to prepare.  I'd be scared to death I'd mispronounced or goof something up, but it doesn't seem to bother quite a few of the hosts.  Preparedness ought to be part of their performance evaluations.  From what I see and hear, I'd say their supervision is lax.

One thing you have to say about Jill is that she does her homework and is always prepared.

I did work until my babies were born but my feet swelled, and my sense of balance altered towards the end. I made no attempt to stuff my feet into high heels.
Do the math.

Too bad this thread turned into a bash Amy's selling techniques when it was originally about how great she looks at 8 months pregnant.

I agree she looks great and I love how she is rocking those orange heels.  She is always able to "funk" up the most mundane or fumpy outfits.  I think she is prepared as well as any of the other hosts.  I thought she did a great job in the "My Pillow" HOUR!   She was prepared and seemed to know all that was necessary to talk about it......afterall.....an hour about a pillow??

Good job, Amy, and you are looking great!

You'll always find a few bad apples in every barrel.
