A local news station is reporting that police training in some areas has been hampered by a shortage of ammunition, shot count for recertification has been cut back to save bullets and they are doing all they can to conserve ammunition for potential duty needs. There is an approximate 6 month backlog in ammunition orders due to the number of weapons and amount of ammunition being bought and hoarded since Sandy Hook.
