This horse did not retire at all.  He raced again and won.  The race was the William Hill Invitational

I was so sure that horse retired to stud.  That usually happens with a triple crown winner.

saw it on television a short while ago.......my brother had sent me a text. he said he will probably race one or two more times before retiring to stud.

Let's wish and hope that this horse (and all of the other racehorses) will remain safe and healthy.  I can't watch horse races, because I'm always worried that one of them will injure itself.  The best of safety to A.P.

Yes, usually the horse would stop rasing to go to stud after winning the triple crown.

Consider a hypothetical.  The owner had, hmmm, financial problems, and sold the breeding rights but retained ownership of the horse.  Hence, the owner makes more money if he wins a few more purses.

Do the math.

My husband and son were there.  I went EARLY (it was dark) this morning just so they could get in.
