I heard the tech issue was fixed and they are now operational. I flew this weekend and the airports were packed!

Looks like all flights have resumed their schedule.

I'd be a bit uncomforable flying the airline without a little more information about the nature of the issue that forced the temporary grounding.

It was very brief, an hour or so, and appears to have been resolved.

Sounds to me like a software glitch.

If all planes were grounded maybe the had radar issues.

That sounds like a Sabre issue, they cannot operate if Sabre is down.

ETA, Sabre is their computer system, it is used in virtually all parts of AA.
