Re: America Drowning in Milk Nobody Wants

I drank milk my whole life, loved milk, cream, butter, etc....
Then about a year ago I started having intestinal problems. I love coffee and love cream in my coffee, so I swotched to non dairy creamer. Tuens out, non dairy creamer has dairy in it. I decided to eliminate foods known to be problems (wheat, dairy, sugar, soy), one at a time, and see how I felt. I started with eliminating dairy...and that did the trick.
Now I use Laird Superfood creamer in my coffee and coconut milk on my cereal.
I miss milk, but I don't miss the problems I was having

Re: America Drowning in Milk Nobody Wants

We go through about 2 gallons of milk each week.  ❤️

Odd how some have negative effects from dairy while others don't experience any problems.

@Trinity11I think your Dr is right. The only time I miss milk is, when I am wishing for a piece of cake. They were just meant for each other

I still use a bit of cream in my tea

Re: America Drowning in Milk Nobody Wants

Everyone has a mother’s-cousin-best friend’s-daughter who

lived until a zillion years old...and they ate Twinkies every day.

The fact is...the older generation of my mother’s age (95)

were not introduced to the Processed Age until they were

already in their 30-40s.

Comparing today’s generation to the older generation is

Apples vs Oranges.  It’s not even in the same ballpark.

I would n.e.v.e.r use my mother’s nutritional upbringing to

guide my life of today.

Children...babies...are already eating animal products,

processed food & oils showing signs of heart disease,

diabetes and other autoimmune issues

our parents didn’t see until much later in their life.

Can’t compare the generations.  We’re ahead 30-40+yrs.

Apples vs Oranges.

And with the original topic, milk, people will waste millions of $$

to purchase special ‘unicorn’ milk from cows when it’s the cow

itself which is not biologically healthy.

This article might give you some answers:  Milk Drinking Started Around 7,500 Years Ago In Central Europe  ( https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/08/090827202513.htm )

This is a good book to read if one wants to get healthy

and kick the dairy habit:

Yes, @cherry.... I have tried and tried and always failed giving up half n half in my coffee. Tea I drink with nothing in it but that took a few years to get used to. Habits are hard to break.... that's for sure!

No, the difference is people back in the day were more active. They didn't eat what is considered "healthy" today yet lived to a ripe old age. They weren't sitting on their butts all day on a computer, FB, message boards (lol).  They were working hard and MOVING!

@sidsmomI did order it when it first came out but it didn't work for me. I think I am truly addicted to dairy food. Working on it, though.

Re: America Drowning in Milk Nobody Wants

If you want to drink milk...drink it.

if you don't want to drink milk...don't.

What is the problem? Lecturing, making fun of and posting articles is not the way to change people's minds for or against. And really, who cares what anyone else does?
