Milk prices have appeared in our area that seem remarkably low.
Here's the reason........

the new agreement with Canada will help. their dairy tariffs were 400% plus. egads.

Milk alternatives are trendy right now. Of course nobody is paying attention to the fact that almond growers are reducing other produce production.
I don't drink milk anymore but I don't buy into the almond milk craze, either. And I don't touch soy.
Now CA is trying (or has passed) a regulation that eggs cannot be sold unless they come from cage-free chickens.
The dairy industry is under attack; while the rights of animals are extremely important, the push to eliminate all dairy and meat products is going to have an effect not intended in its origin.

The Plant-Based World is here.
Changes won’t be overnight but we will be seeing
regional/global changes at a gradient over the next decade(s).
This is a perfect example.
People are starting to realize animal products are not healthy and
the ethical treatment of animals is finally reaching our souls.
Just a matter of time before the medical field begins
to embrace plants to heal. That might take longer since
there’s more $$$$, but it will happen..maybe not in our
lifetime, but the trend is happening. I have hope.

I don't consume dairy as I have an allergy. Even if I didn't I would not consume any that comes from corporate/industrial farming for both health and ethical reasons.
I drink coconut milk mostly these days, usually in a smoothie.
I NEVER drink soy milk. I won't touch any unfermented soy.

Where does coconut milk come from?

Milk prices in my area have gone up. Paying at least 20 cents more for a half gallon of milk at my local grocery store. I was just telling my husband that, in general, prices have increased at my grocery store.

I remember when the Chobani thing exploded. I happened to be buying yogurt off the shelf, and an executive of that market told me to expect to see others get pushed off the shelf - she was right. Prices got crazy and there was always a frenzy in that area of the store.
I remember as a child, when yogurt first appeared on our grocery shelves, in my town. "Grape" was a flavor, bur it had to be stopped because it fermented and lids were popping off. That stuff was good. Nice and chunky and a little sour, in a good way.

Milk isn’t healthy but I’m sure that is not why it isn’t selling.
