My amazon account was hacked but amazon caught it before shipping to an address in New Jersey.  I wasn't on top of signing out and left my credit card on file with Amazon.  I got a new password and took my credit card off my amazon account.  I am not leaving my credit card on any sites any more.

Thank you ladies for the heads up. I just went into my Amazon account & deleted my payment method.

Good idea about deleting payment methods.  I will do the same on Amazon.

Removing my credit card is not an option for me. I order too frequently from Amazon to go down that route. Are there any additional steps that can be taken to be safe?

Thanks-

I stop ordering from Amazon because after I would order things. I would get all kinds of Porn and scam emails that I had never gotten before. I did call Amazon to report what was happening after I had ordered with them.  They said that they would look into it. At first I thought it was from an online order I made with Kohl's. So I ordered again from Amazon 2 weeks later and sure enough they started up again. So I just deleted and changed all my info plus I always remove my payment method.

I receive an email alert anytime I use my CC, and do not scan it.

You should be able to setup alerts with your company.
