I ordered another pair of Chelsea rain boots late in the afternoon on Tuesday.

They were delivered this morning!  Not even 48 hours!

My husband ordered a few things last Friday.  They were delivered Sunday in the middle of a snowstorm.  We ended up getting 14 inches of snow that day.

Gotta love Prime.  I don't know how Amazon does it.  I belong to health/weight loss plan.  It's medically based, there are meal replacements and shakes.  I couldn't figure out how to order just a single box of shakes on their app.  I went to Amazon and lo and behold, I could order the shakes from Amazon.  It would have taken a week to get them from my program but I received them from Amazon in just 2 days.  Unbelievable.  Same price as my program but if I had signed up for the subscription, I would get them for $3.00 less a box.  With the free shipping, that is quite a savings.  I didn't do the subscription...but I might.

@ALRATIBA  A couple weeks ago, I ordered a Rapidlash from them on a Saturday around 1:00pm.  Someone delivered it to my back door the next morning (Sunday)!  BTW, I hardly ever pay shipping, and I'm not a Prime member.  Most items I order come with free shipping if you don't request the upgrade (I don't).  I still get the items just as fast as if I had paid.

Re: Amazon Shipping

Their shipping is about the best in the industry.   My Prime renews late this month and I'm just trying to swallow the new price but it's probably still worth it for me.  I do order a lot from Amazon.    I usually have over 300 orders a year.   Just right there could be several times the Prime price in shipping.

I save a lot of money and time that way, and convenience such as not having to go to PetSmart to get a 30# bag of dog food and carry it around.   Besides, when I stopped buying it there it was costing $59.99 plus tax and that was several years ago.  To this date, it doesn't cost nearly that much from Amazon (same exact bag of food), and it's delivered.  I also get a lot of paper and soap type stuff, and other household items.

I am in a position now that I feel the need to save everything I can, in case something happens to my husband as I cannot support myself anymore.   Amazon has been priceless in that regard.

I do watch some things on Prime video, but I don't even take advantage of as much as many people, especially the reading machine things that give a lot more freebies, but I'm still getting my money's worth.

I feel spoiled sometimes, when I order something from another retailer and have to wait more than a couple of days to get it.   /firstworldproblems   Smiley Happy

ETA - forgot to say, I also enjoy getting 5% back on my Amazon card every month, plus 1% on all other things I put on that card.  I pay it off every month, so no interest to contemplate.

@2blondeI shop Amazon your way.  Prime does not pay for me - as you say, lots of things ship free without it and I just don't buy stuff nearly as often as I used to.

The fastest they have ever delivered to me was when I ordered on a Saturday evening, and it was sitting by my front door the next day, Sunday morning! I did not hear or see them come. Neither did my dog! Really freaky, but in a good way.

One of these days they are going to deliver before I order! LOL!!!

The free shipping is only one benefit of Prime, I know people who don't even buy anything from Amazon but they have Prime for all the other things that come with Prime.  I'm not saying you need Prime, I'm just saying you don't know what Prime is or what it offers.
