Yesterday shared accidentally put my tv remote in the washing machine and because thought ruined ordered new from Amazon. You guessed it! Next morning working fine to late cancel the new remote. Long story short! Amazon contacted UPS on its way back. No charge whatsoever!! Returned my funds moments afterwards.

Love!! Amazon Prime!!🙋

We have Amazon prime - don't use it as much as we probably should.

I order a lot from eBay.

@Sweet_Serenity

Someone asked what I return or why I return so much to Amazon prime.

Here is why: not only for the reason you specified. “these things happen” category; but also because when I have “digestive issues” (IBS) I try different supplements,etc. Having majorly dealt with IBS IN all of 2017, I have now found what works for me, and I am a VERY LOYAL A customer!

When I needed something same day or tomorrow, they provided! I am SO GRATEFUL!

Even clothing/shoes are “free return.”

My theory is this: will I TRY new things if I am guaranteed hassle-free, free returns? You bet I will!

Amazon is wonderful to deal with. Glad they resolved your issue.

 If I were in your shoes I would keep the second remote as a backup or spare. Ours gets lost every few days (under a throw pillow or pushed under the couch).  A spare would be handy.

I've only done it once or twice, but Amazon is super easy to deal with regarding returns.  It just so happens I have one to do this week.  I expect it to go as smoothly as the others.

@JeanLouiseFinch,Never had to return but a few times.  When the vendor, Shoe Brands USA ended up in Europe, totally different story.  What a headache.

HI @LTT1-----hope you are well.

       You post has left me a little confused about Amazon return policy.

If I buy something , let's say a dietary supplement, I can try it and send them back the unused portion ? TIA

@Danky

I am somewhat confused about their policy too, except yes, I have tried supplements and oils. Often, if the seller is not Amazon, their policy is listed. For instance “our company guarantees your satisfaction. If you are not 100% satisfied, we will refund your money in full.”

Here is a guarantee for an essential oil “GUARANTEED: 1 Year Risk Free Money Back Guarantee. We want you to be ecstatic with your new purchase. Try the entire bottle of Renewalize Evening Primrose Oil and if you do not see an improvement in your skin or hair, we would be glad to refund your purchase price.” This company’s product is not sold or warehoused by Amazon.

I have never had problems returning and or receiving a refund for ANY defective product.

For instance, I am returning this product unused and unopened.

The reason I like Amazon Prime is when I bring the return package to UPS, credit is given the minute I ship it. The following day my Amex shows the credit. QVC takes up to a month to see the credit on my card.
