I just ordered two items that were shipping Amazon Prime.  I'm supposed to get them on Wednesday.  Wouldn't that be three day shipping rather than two day?  (Today is Saturday.)  I've always gotten things so fast, and this seems rather long to be Prime shipping.

Two BUSINESS days.

Weekends don't count.

Monday is Memorial Day. That adds a non-delivery day.

Prime can be confusing. It's two days ship time--but the time that the item ships out can be delayed. You have to check the checkout terms when you go to buy whatever. I was buying gifts that I wanted to arrive before Memorial Day and it was like a minefield. First, every time you change the search parameter, checking "Prime Only" is gone and you have to re-check that.

Then the item may be free on Prime but not shipped by Prime (so takes days.)

It is confusing. And two days doesn't include Sunday, generally. See what I mean.

Still, I'm a huge fan of it.

Thanks @2cockers1cat.  I realized weekends didn't count, but completely forgot that Monday was Memorial Day.

I find that the orders I place that are fulfilled by Amazon Prime come in two days, including weekends. However, any order I place that is supplied by a third-party source seems to take an extra day. So I try to make sure I order things that are stated as Amazon Prime.

At work, we have the same issue with Amazon Prime. If we order something that is not indicated as Amazon Prime, it comes a little later (day or two). Still fast service, but when you get used to the two-day delivery, waiting one extra seems to be an inconvenience. LOL!

I just ordered the Holmes Blizzard fan from Amazon and the order says it will be here Tuesday. Love Prime!

Re: Amazon Prime

I have Amazon Prime and have never gotten anything that I have ordered in 2 days.  My daughter lives 14 miles away in a different town and she gets hers in the 2 days and has even had deliveries on a Sunday.  I phoned Amazon and was told that it is the USPS.  So I guess it depends on your local Post Office.  We know our Post Master and he claims it depends on the town that you live in.  I would think that they should all be the same but who knows.

I am super lucky with Amazon Prime. There are two warehouses within my area.

I swear they drive it over sometimes! I ordered something one night at 11:00pm, and it was at my door the next morning. Blew my mind.

I love Amazon. I shop almost exclusively there now (except for clothes).

I do not need anymore clothes, so everything else, Amazon offers. Even food!

@Campion me too. I wouldn't be without Prime unless they got crazy and raised their price by an exorbitant amount.

You're right that they don't count Sundays, however, I've gotten deliveries on Sunday. Just last week I sent a gift to my daughter and she received it on Sunday. Love my Prime!
