@pieman, one day I had “Amazon” call me 8 times in a row about some fake purchase. I finally picked up on the last ring and gave the person a tongue-lashing. They never called back. 😂

@piemanpeople who don't have an Amazon account are also complaining about getting calls.

@Sage04

Getting calls from whom? My wife does not have an Amazon account and she has never gotten a call.

We have been members since the beginning.

Never have we received a spam call or email.  We don’t have any

Any spammer from any country can call and say they are from Amazon, or any other business.

I don't answer calls I don't recognize the number for.  The only exception is if I'm expecting a call.  I have an answering machine, so if it's really important they can leave a message.  The car warranty people apparently THINK theirs are important.

I get spam E-mails from "Amazon", "Paypal", banks, all sorts of places telling me I've bought something I havent or that they have frozen my account until I contact them, even places I have no account with and never have.  None of those E-mails are coming because these businesses are handing out my info.  It's all a numbers game.  You try enough addresses, you'll find some real ones.  Recently, I even got a text from my Credit Union.  I know they didn't give out my info.  I even have trouble getting into it online.  I have to have them send me a text to my number with a code just to get in and pay my credit card bill if I want to do it online.

It's none of these businesses' fault that people are pretending to be them trying to steal your information.
