i ordered 2 items Saturday, this morning they were delivered, I don't have Prime, but did qualify for free shipping having spent a little over $25. I don't know how they do it but they do! Why can't other online retailers do the same?

QVC could learn so much from Amazon, Takes forever for QVC items to ship.

They have many distribution centers. The closest to me is 100 miles. I ordered something on Saturday, it was turned over to USPS and came with today's mail.

I too have experienced the same with Amazon over and over. We however are prime members.
In contrast I ordered an item on hsn on 1-09-18 with a 5-7 work day delivery. Well! As of today(13 days later) they have NO delivery date. Called CS yesterday and got the same answer: "Extended Delivery".
And online retailers wonder the why of amazon!

That's so typical of Amazon for me too, and I'm not prime either. Usually my items are delivered by one of their personal carriers. They pick stuff up at the distribution center then deliver within a particular local area......often on Sundays!

@carba Amazon is AMAZING! I have prime and can not believe that I can order in the morning and have what I bought at my door 6 hours later! It is almost addictive. These other places better get on track or be left in the dust. If Amazon can do it so can they. It is laziness on the behalf of companies that have turtle slow shipping....no excuse.

In my life, I have never received the level of customer service that I receive from Amazon. My experience today is at the top of the list. We had ordered an item for Christmas for my son who lives in another state. We admittedly did not examine the item upon receipt. Well he just came today for a visit and mentioned how much he loves the gift but he just noticed that there was a defect. I decided to send a note acknowledging that we had not examined the item plus we knew that the return window had closed in November. I just wanted them to be aware plus perhaps they could do something based on our purchase record....well,less than a 1/2 hour later I had an email from them saying they were sorry and would make a one time exception and refund the entire purchase amount. I was shocked that they would respond so quickly and take the action that they did. I do love Amazon!

I hate Amazon with every bone in my body. The charged me for a music subscribtion I never purchased. All my music is Apple. They are refusing to give me a refund but a store credit only in the mean time I have overdraft fees with my bank because of this. I emailed them back to confirm i will take the credit offer but they keep sending me a responce unrelated to that request not to mention everyt time I do order they dump the packages in an unsecured area 3 blocks away in the inner city where every single package will get stolen. I am so mad i can not even function

Amazon has spoiled us. It used to be we expected to wait several days to receive something. Now we are disappointed when it takes more than a few days.
I ordered something from QVC on 1/14. It shipped on 1/15- which is amazing for QVC. Usually everything sits “in process” for 2-3 days. Anyhow it looks like it will get here on 1/24. It’s a UPS to US mail. I don’t mine waiting the extra day for USPS but it’ll be 9 days since it was shipped. That seems like forever...
