You did say "friend" right? Who drove? If all your friends are like this one, they are either cheap or "rubbing it in your face, or both". I don't do Casino's or gamble, even by myself, but I doubt any friend of mine would do this.

If your agreement is whoever drives pays parking then I guess not especially since you lost money but maybe she never gave it any thought when she asked you but I think she should have kept separate parking money.

This reminds me again of why we need a link for posting history because I like to go back and read the OP's responses rather than read the whole thread when it starts to get long.

I'm just not getting the dynamics of this whole deal

IF you go your seperate ways once you get there.........why not just drive yourself and meet up there for dinner, because that's all your doing anyway......................................raven

Well, whether or not the winning/losing of the night matters, it seems to me that it was kind of petty to ask you to pay the parking when it was HER turn to pay.

Additionally, I can't help but thinking about the fact that she won $1,000 and you LOST hundreds of dollars.

She couldn't just pay the parking since she was supposed to anyway?

She couldn't have contemplated that time to pay the valet was coming up before leaving the casino, and maybe cashing in one of her hundreds for some change?

Maybe I just get a creepy vibe, anyway, from somebody using the old 'Could you pay, because I only have hundred dollar bills' line, especially when the other person has less, but MOSTLY because it was her turn to pay anyway!!

I guess it does get in my craw a little bit but I guess I'd just pay and move on.  Maybe have her pay when it's your turn next time.  But it might color my feelings a bit.  That not only was it her turn but that you lost money while she won a lot and that didn't seem to mean a thing to her -  I get a bit of a bad feeling about that.  It feels a little bit like a slap in your face to me.

But, hey, I wasn't there so I fully recognize that I could be wrong.  Smiley Happy

you can.....it just takes a few seconds more to get there. put the posters name in the "search forums and blogs" box. click on the drop down menu next to it and click on users. click on the red "go" button. the posters name will come up(along with other information) and there will be a ####posts area. click on that to read any or all of their posts/responses.

I do that for my own name but it is still a nuisance to do it that way. Plus if I use ipad there is so much you cannot do.

Several thoughts comer to mind:

1. Obviously you can affford the parking fee - you have a cleaning lady and can afford to lose what is (to me) a sustantial amount of money.

2. Has she done  this before?  More importantly, have you?.

3. Is $5.00 or what the amount was worth this fuss?

4. I may be wrong because I have never been to a casino, but many places give you a bit of trouble when you try to break a large bill.  They have markers to mark the bill to determine if it is a forgery, , they give you a look (as if that can determie your honesty), etc.  Maybe she just did nt want that kind of fuss.

5/ Whatevr you won or lost and whatever she won or lost is irrelevant in my opinion.  Only because I presume this has never been a factor before.

6. She is a friend.  Why not talk to her?
