I always answer these calls. I've met so many nice new friends from Africa and Eastern Europe since I've started doing this that I feel blessed. Of course, they always seem to have so many problems with their banking systems over there that, frankly, it's disgusting.

I just recently agreed to help out my new friend Yuri with a transactional banking issue he was experiencing. Not only am I helping him out but I'll get to keep a commission too!! Very exciting.

I do not think you are crazy. I, too, received notification from Target that my info may have been compromised and I believe it was as I now am receiving numerous e-mail messages daily that are Spam. I did not have this problem before Target's breach.

I have always tried to be careful with my personal information. I was hoping, of course, the breach would not affect me, but now knowing it has reached me in this manner (with the Spam e-mail), I am concerned as to other ways I may be affected. I no longer feel insulated. This is upsetting to deal with. I "block" each Spam e-mail address and then delete. I don't like being reactive. I'd rather be proactive. I don't like being put in this position.

I have not been receiving scam telephone calls. Fingers crossed they don't start.

Thanks for all the responses! To answer, yes both my landline and email address was associated with my Target red card. This is their credit card option not the card they also have where it is directly tied to a checking account and works like a debit card. Thanks Xmas Carol for helping me realize I'm not nuts. I would not be surprised for a second if this is an issue they do not and will desperately try not to disclose. They figure, no money lost no foul but having legitimate contact info is very profitable to sell.
