[ Edited ]

Bought a Fire 10 tablet for $71, A 128mb micro SD card for $24 and a Fitbit watch and accessories for $120. I'm shopping primarily for Christmas and December birthdays.

@patbz  Did you comparison shop prior to your Prime Day purchase?

@rms1954 Prime Day is *deals* on hundreds (thousands?) of items on Amazon.

I'm not sure if it's exclusive to Amazon Prime members or not.

I've only gotten one thing that someone swore was a great deal (a Roomba) and I'm not even sure if it was a great deal.

I do think I'm going to take advantage of the Prime Visa.  You get a $200 Whole Foods gift card and what I really like about it is---no annual fee.  It's thru Chase and I have a Chase Visa, but get hit with a $99 annual fee.  (It was waived the first couple of years, but I see last month I got charged--so touche away with that!).

I might have my husband cancel his Chase Visa, too and get the Amazon Prime and another $200 WF gift card.  That'll fill 4 bags of groceries!

@patbz I don't even know what the first two things you listed are....lol.  But go for it!  Obviously you know a good deal.

@Mz iMac : Yes; that's the best price I've ever seen for a new Fire 10.  Before I buy on Prime Day I really comparison shop.

@rms1954 : Amazon holds this 2 day sale twice a year and its the equivalent of Black Friday.  Its the only big sale I follow and if you shop carefully you can save a lot of $.  You can read about it on Amazon's site.

Re: Already started doing my Prime Day shopping

I've gotten emails from so many other companies trying/vying for my business.  Catch word in most of them is *Prime*.

Re: Already started doing my Prime Day shoppin

I just did my purchase of an Amazon e-gift card.

Buy a $50 Amazon e-gift card and get a $12.50 promotional credit added to your account.

I bought the gift card and texted it to myself.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Me too!  I purchased Apple Airpods for $89.  Smiley Happy

Best Buy has a sale on the same ones for $99.  QVC has no sale, they have them for $179.

Most major retailers are having big sales to match Amazon's Prime Day sales today & tomorrow.  You would think QVC would at least offer free shipping today to try to compete!

Re: Already started doing my Prime Day shopping

My Echo Dot is a first-gen one that's showing its age, so I upgraded and replaced it with a new one for $32 with a free Singled LED bulb and a clock built into the Dot. And I got a new Fire TV Stick for a 32" TV that doesn't have one now. At $16.99 that's hard to beat. I don't anticipate buying anything else.

I did see they had some catnip-flavored Temptations treats for cats, but I'll buy a smaller pack locally to see if my cats like them or not. I hadn't seen those before. I'm not sure how a catnip-flavored treat would work. Would my cats want to roll in them or eat them?
