This site was advertised on Facebook for 50% off tennis shoes. It looks like it's affiliated with QVC. But I think it is not. I've bought things through Facebook links and when the product arrives, it's garbage.

Almost all of the ads on FB are a scam.

Around Christmas I saw several ads on Facebook for Coach and other purse brands making them sound like they were associated with the Q.
I have received gifts from people that bought items thru a FB ad. These were not claiming to be associated with QVC though. I really like the items I received.

Good Catch @Zshopgirl I will report the link and remove to avoid any confusion.
Thank you,

If an ad comes up for me that looks interesting I google that company instead of using the FB link. This allows me to look into reviews to determine if the company is real or a scam. I never purchase directly from a link in FB.

I do the same thing @mimomof4 does. The only ads I see now are the Sponsored ads that show up in the feed and those tend to be more reliable. The ones that show up in the corner I would never click on. Luckily, I don't even see those since I have an app to hide that stuff.

I never purchase anything thru FB. Once I went to a website and it was actually a legitmate grocery store coupon for a new yogurt or hummus brand. I always think of those advertisements as coming from companies who can't afford to advertise in a more legitimate/main stream way.

because plenty of legitimate sites advertise and sell via facebook links, including legitimate links that lead to QVC.
there is also a legitimate huge marketplace and selling groups on facebook for sales.....local and those that will ship items.
i sell items via facebook frequently AND i have purchased items via facebook and in facebook groups.
