I do not have kids and have never felt the need to have children. I have always been naturally drawn to baby animals 100 times more than baby humans. While I totally "get" the love someone would and should have for their kids, does it need to come up in just about every conversation? Some people seem to live their lives thru their kids. I run screaming from the breakroom when I see the pregnant girl and the new mom at the vending machine. I just know the conversation will turn to cutting the umbilical cord (gross!) to p o o p y diapers (double gross!!).
I enjoy getting updates on good friends' children. I dated a guy whose daughter I liked more than him! To clarify, I love kids, but some people go way overboard with the talk about their kids.
Does anybody else feel this way? Why do you think that is?
