Re: All hosts pushing ""returns.""

I must not be watching enough. I don't hear any more about returns than I did in 1995 or any year since I started to watch.

Or it may be that I just don't care a whole lot about returns, so I don't hear it. My last return was January of 2013! I don't buy much, but I don't buy anything on impulse any longer, so there's not much to think about returning. Even locally where I much prefer to buy and where returning is super easy, I no longer fall often for some sales person telling me "Take it home. You can always return it." If I'm not 99.9% sure, why bother- locally or long distance?

Re: All hosts pushing ""returns.""

QVC and other mail-order businesses aren't stupid. They know that the longer you hang onto something, the less likely you are to return it, especially if it's something big and bulky like furniture, fitness equipment, etc.

It occurs to me that they probably ARE making more on the $6.95 return label and that's why they're urging people to return anything they don't like.

BTW, I just had to say "getting pushy"? They've already arrived! {#emotions_dlg.laugh} (no offense intended, brewhaha)

I have notice that too, love it or return it. I remember reading that some people would get a letter if they returned too much. Almost every host preaches that now. There must be a profit in there for them to promote it so much.

Re: All hosts pushing ""returns.""

I have noticed it too...they even go as far as saying wear it for a month, use it for a month, carry it for a month and THEN if you don't like it, send it back, NO obligation. I can't believe QVC allows them to use this tactic, especially since QVC doesn't seem to really like you returning too much!
