Fell out of my chair when I discovered this:

'Mean Girls' is on Oxygen right now...just started.

Really.  No joking.  😀

Re: All Network Channels, Why?

And here I expected to check the Forums expecting to see NBC chastised for lighting the Christmas tree tonight.

The NYC Children's choir song "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me"  was lovely and a lovely message for everyone.

Oxygen is owned by Comcast/Universal. They already own MSNBC...no reason to run the same info on all stations, giving these people  publicity.

I'm sure there are those who want to watch the California event, the armored vehicles,  people running,  along with close ups of the SUV etc. However, isn't that what news channels are for, the voyeurs?

Enough, I wanted to see Jeopardy not a bunch of men searching a neighborhood, not inane interviews with overpaid speculators.

At least no one can accuse the media or government of a conspiracy and/or censoring information.  There are those of us who will not rest until this "event" is over and all suspects cannot anymore harm.

Re: All Network Channels, Why?

You know, those hunkering down behind locked doors need to know what is going on out there.  If they have their smart phones on them with news apps, they get instant coverage.  I know if I were hiding in a closet in a house where one of the perps crossed into my backyard (happened!) that I'd want to know what is happening where.....

I was in two serious wild fires in San Diego back in 03 and 07.  the 07 one came from the back country and went all the way to the ocean, wiping out whole neighborhoods.  If it weren't for the non-stop coverage (and our own scouting of the sky) we wouldnt have known that our particular area was surrounded with fire on three sides~!  It was that info that got us prepared to run out of there in our motorhome before we would be cut off.....

I'm really sorry you wanted to see Jeopardy and couldn't.... but these news casts are important.

Re: All Network Channels, Why?

Please keep in mind that not everyone is sitting in front of the TV all day.

Those of us who work are just getting home and this is the first chance we have of seeing the news.

Re: All Network Channels, Why?

I'm with you, I wanted to see Jeopardy as well.  Put the ongoing situation on one channel, two channels, but all channels? At least ABC is back.
