All Liturgical Services Cancelled

This paragraph was taken from the letter sent out today from the "Metropolitan" from our area of the U.S.  Each geographic area would, of course, be sending out a letter like this because the decision emanated from the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople (Eastern Orthodoxy's "Vatican," if you will.)

"Per the decision of the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of
Constantinople, as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic that is afflicting the entire world, all Liturgical Services in the parishes of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of New Jersey are hereby cancelled through at least March 29, 2020. Thereafter, based on the status of the Pandemic a new directive will be issued in regards to the future celebration of the Divine Services."

For safety's sake, there will be no Internet services or anything until at least March 29.

May we all be blessed and protected.

Re: All Liturgical Services Cancelled

Our archdiocese has said there will be no funeral masses until further notice.  Just something at the graveside.
