All Communities Should Be Doing This...

In our small town, younger folks are volunteering for those who are seniors, immune compromised, and afraid to grocery shop, to do it for them.

We all should be helping the most vulnerable as much as we can.

Stay safe..........

My neighborhood has e mailed a list of people who will do that.

My son said his church will deliver food to people's doors, no contact. He and my granddaughter will help.

There are people in my town doing that also. I think it is wonderful.

We are doing this and we have people offered child care to those who have to work and have no childcare options with schools and daycares closing.

Re: All Communities Should Be Doing This...

I'm already helping an elderly neighbor. My son picked up groceries & meds for his friends grandmother.I also know of several younger people in the community who have offered their help to those in need.

Millennials are something else.  I love the young, they are so easily inspired

Re: All Communities Should Be Doing This...

I have seen all kinds of heart warming things being done here.  Younger individuals offering to go grocery shopping for those in the at risk category.  Others running rolls of toilet paper over to people that are really running low on toilet paper and can't find any, young moms home schooling their own children volunteering to do "check in" on neighbors kids since school is out, etc.

Lots of positive things going on out there. Heart

Re: All Communities Should Be Doing This...

@shoekitty   The millennials are age 21 to 39.  I don't see very many of them helping around my community.

The teenagers are doing more to help, but that might have to do with them not working full time jobs and trying to support themselves and a family.

I also see a lot of boomers helping and volunteering, more so than any other age group.
