I've had 3 Butterball turkeys over the years and they were the worst turkey ever. Soggy, tasteless, mushy. Give me a Norbest any day.

@Meowingkitty I'm sitting here wondering how meat could be soggy or mushy- It's hard to imagine

@Ladybug724  Oh, It CAN be done, believe you me.  Mine was a perdue turkey and I was truely amazed at the texture of that meat. spongy is apt.  rubbery to the tooth as well. absolutely NO taste whatsoever.  Guess I should count my blessings as I don't really want to dwell on what kind of flavour it would have had if it did have one! My turkey of choise is a Marval if I can find one.  I want a plain old turkey that I can spiff up as I like.  No butter basted. I'll do that myself thank you.  Gota admit though Butterballs make a great presentation.
