Those of you shivering in frigid weather might want to schedule a vacation in Alaska. They have a sled dog race scheduled for this week-end on the Chena River in Fairbanks and will have to re-route it because the ice in the river isn't thick enough to support the weight. They're going to use city street but will have to truck snow in.

Wow...that's pretty amazing.

Last year I shoveled once or twice...this year I'm swimming in snow.

Atlanta is in the midst of a crisis because of the harsh winter weather--as are other cities--and ALASKA has to IMPORT snow.

What a strange turn of events.

I checked this out... They've been really cold with the exception of 6 days last week.

Their forecast is here.

So cold! I don't know if I could live there, between the darkness and cold.. burrrrr

I don't know how just 4 days above freezing could melt all of their snow. 2 weeks ago they were at -32 ! Can you imagine that???? Crazy cold.
