This airbus 320-200 is under International Law. There is GO team with a lot of experience to track or have represenatives to investigate. This flight is just about 1 &1/2 flight.
In reference to the captain having another flight plan that could be re-routed (usually) due to weather. This happens quite often. My husband had returned from this same flight pattern to Singapore. I am very used to this region. Many bad weather changes through these regions. These airbuses are equipped to fly higher to 80,000ft to avoid extreme thunderstorms. The U.S. is monitoring this incident. Singapore would have HAD better information if the plane was closer. Waiting for more information. Reaching out to other countries for further information that is not available to the viewers.
8:20am (local time) would have been the arrival time. 7:54am (local time) was when the plane /320-200 departed.
There is very little information that can be released at this time; Search and rescue.

The darkest part of my mind fears a private, malevolent air force is being created. Let's hope I've just got an active imagination and the tragedy -- if there is one -- is that of bad weather.
