Steve Doocy is named in Gretchen's lawsuit as well, but no one saying much about him.

I have to say that I never really liked Steve Doocy and don't think he is that good.  With Fox hiring his son just out of college, that seemed a bit odd, though I think Peter does very well.

I have watched Fox News for years.  Frankly for me, just the fact that the always young, thin and pretty women wear short, sleeveless dresses year round, NEVER pants, is enough for me to think a sexist man is at the helm.

I agree about the short, sleeveless dresses, I think it is ridiculous.  Did anyone see Meghan Kelly last night?  All you could see was two spaghetti straps.  There should be more respect than that.  Greta Van Susteran doesn't dress like that.  I think she looks very professional.

@Patriot3- Peter Doocy was not being sued.  GC felt she worked in a hostile work place when she worked with him because of his dismissive attitude and minimizing her contributions to their program.  He was not accused of sexual harassment but it is part of her complaint because she reported it to Ailes who in turn gave her a new program.  The lawsuit is against Ailes only, not Fox or Peter.

@Stray:  I did not write the original post, Puppy lips did.  I wrote the reply about the short, sleeeveless dresses.

I wonder if Mr. Ailes and might team up with another well-financed party to start a new news network.

I just read that article. Wow and double wow!! That surprised me. The whole thing is a surprise that it ever happened!!

Sexual harassment is all too common in some work environments, so none of it surprised me at all.

And that's probably the saddest statement I'll make all day.  I wish I could be surprised by this, but my own experiences and those of my friends tell me not to be. One of my friends works in an office rampant with both racism and misogyny and her complaints have gone nowhere. She doesn't want to sue over it because she needs the job and working there with a lawsuit in progress would be even worse.

He is receiving 40 million dollars with a non-compete agreement for life.

Time to retire, Roger.

Although his wife is probably not making life at home very pleasant now!

Does Luke Russert still work at NBC?  I haven't seen him reporting for a while.

actually i think he just resigned.

I have a friend whose son works for MSNBC,  Luke Russert was not well received by his colleagues.  Some thought he was not qualified for the job and he was hired because he was Tim's son.

It's been reported he left to go to rehab.

I did not realize he'd been with MSNBC/NBC for 8 years.  I think he still lacks polish and hasn't grown in his presentations.

I wish him well.

*****************

I didn't or hear anything about him going to rehab.

I grew up with his father...my uncle was in WWII with his father and they remained friends for life. He lived a few streets away from me when the Russerts were in South Buffalo and lived on Woodside (his childhood home, BTW, burned down a few years ago). I have posted about this before.

Luke jumped into the job at NBC because he thought that was what his father would have liked - and he was hired by a man his late father had mentored. Chuck Todd started out as a behind the scenes guy, but Tim saw his potential and put him in front of the cameras...now he has Tim's job at MTP.

Luke much prefers sports journalism and that's what he will probably be doing in the future. His bosss were pleased with his work and how he grew into the job. Covering Gongress in an election year is boring - they are out most of the year.

He took this opportunity to leave now., because there was little "action" in DC.

He comes to Buffalo pretty often to go to Bills games and see his family here.

This story becomes even more intriguing as the major "stars" supposedly are siding with Roger Ailes and willing to walk.  This leaves Megyn Kelly with Fox.  Time will tell.

Walk to where for what?

That's a big fat bluff.

Bill O must be ready to retire. He is one of the only cable opinion anchors who pre-records his show. He flubs too many lines to be on live.

@terrier3  He was on live at the convention last night and did just fine.

I don't know what makes you make that statement about flubbing lines; IMO there's no basis for it.  I've seen many shows of him live at times and he does fine.

This looks like another one of those statements just "thrown out there" with no basis in fact.

I know what I'm talking about - I sold advertising on his network for over 20 years and it was my job to keep up on what was happening on all the cable channels I sold.

This is from his own website:

"The program is done "live to tape", meaning that unlike other Fox News Channel programs at night, The O'Reilly Factoris prerecorded. The program is live for breaking news or special events. The showusually tapes between 5 and 7pm EST."

You can tell because there is no "live" bug in the corner of the screen. When news breaks during his show...they often go to the reporter on the desk and don't throw it to Bill - because he's not actually there at that moment!

WHY is it pre-taped? Because he makes lots of mistakes.

If you read his letter it's obvious that he is still working for them as an advisor.

@ChynnaBlue- I handled employee conflict which included sexual harrassment and hostile workplace.  I really advice your friend to take action....it is against the law to retaliate.  She should check her employee handbook for the process in her Company.  She also may report to the EEOC, locally or federal; they too will tell her to go forward without fear of retaliation....that also includes lack of promotion or poor performance evaluations.  No woman or man need to endure such conditions today in the USA.  She doesn't have to sue.
