Do you remember any of these? if so, feel free to share a remembrance or two with us!❤️
I would LOVE❤️ to just go back in time just for a day, when things were SIMPLER and people were KINDER!😊 This generation unfortunately has no clue! You could leave your door unlocked and not panic! There were things that were unpleasant about the past also, but I have SO many warm memories of yesteryear that I am trulyTHANKFUL for!❤️ If you can think of any, please feel free to share!😊

I remember going ice skating on a pond. There was a little shed with a fireplace burning, so toasty and warm. My kids only wanted to go ice skating if it was inside.

I remember all these things. I grew up in the 50's. Everyday I would come home and watch the Mickey Mouse Club. Also Bandstand with ****** Clark. There were certain couples that everyone liked. There was a blond couple that was very popular and I can't remember their names. That was my best time.

@SandySparkles : Precious Memories. We were poor and mother receiving social security widows and childrens benefits. Once a month we would go to the mall. Shop at Woolworths for monthly necessities and then eat lunch . She always purchased one sandwich, one soda and one piece of pie and we shared everything. Then she would give me a $1 to purchase anything that I needed. My friends would receive a weekly allowance and every Saturday be at the mall shopping and watching a movie. I never had regrets of only shopping with my Mom, so much shared and created precious memories.
One month my Mom stated that I could repaint our shared bedroom, the bedroom furniture and go to Woolworths to purchase new sheets and bed spread. We found cute little floor rugs to put on each side of the bed.I miss Mom. She passed in 1977 and I was 22.

Oh my goodness do I remember the good old days !
When we were between the age of about 8-12 on hot summer nights (no air conditioner) we would lay down on the floor at our front door with only the screen door between us and the outside and enjoy the breeze and it would be late at night, no worries just being kids. We would play hide and seek or softball with the other kids in the neighborhood. Everyone knew everyone and parents watched over each others children while we played in each others yards. We played jump rope.
I still have about 50 old R&B record albums and many 45 records and my old record player all in excellent condition. I remember my grandpa made a go cart for my brother made with wood planks, old bike tires and a rope tied to the front wheels to steer the cart. My brother would take it to the top of our street and ride down the street, so much fun !
thanks for reminding me of the good old days !!
Oh yes and I remember Woolworths, watching captain Kangeroo, Mickey mouse club and American Bandstand !
