I use an antique ice pick to puncture the cellophane. 

Did you get any of the off flavors? I got a package of the sour ones, not good. I passed on the birthday cake flavor. The mystery variety tempted me, I love a mystery, but gave them a miss as well.

Halloween, but they won't be the original yellow Peeps.

Ah, the color doesn't matter to me.  As long as they taste the same.  :-)

ETA:  But now I have learned about "aging" them, so I may not get the full experience 'til Christmas.  :-O
