Then what? This virus will be with us with peaks and valleys for quite some time. I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel until a vaccine is developed. Until that time I will try to make the best of the current situation of staying inside and shopping on line for food, drive thru pick up for meds and video chat Dr appointments.

I look forward to the day it will be safe to getting a pedicure, going to hair salon, having lunch with friends, all the normal things I used to take for granted. Most of all I look forward to seeing and giving hugs and kisses to daughter and grandkids. I have an 85 year old aunt that I call at least twice a day. I look forward to being able to going to her house and spending time with her.

As far as going on vacation, I have no desire to go any place. I want to spend quality time with those that are important to me, take lots and lots of pictures to put in my picture albums.

There is an old saying, You don't miss the water til the well goes dry and you don't miss your sweetie til they say goodbye. So true, I miss the normal things I took for granted. Now there is a new normal to get used to. We will have to accept and adjust just like we did after 911.

Sigh. So much misinformation.

That healight gadget announcement was a paid for press release from the company regarding something that is being tested, like a kabillion other potential cures and helps. It also included this required info.

"This press release includes forward-looking statements within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, or the Exchange Act. All statements other than statements of historical facts contained in this presentation, are forward-looking statements. Forward-looking statements are generally written in the future tense and/or are preceded by words such as ″may,″ ″will,″ ″should,″ ″forecast,″ ″could,″ ″expect,″ ″suggest,″ ″believe,″ ″estimate,″ ″continue,″ ″anticipate,″ ″intend,″ ″plan,″ or similar words, or the negatives of such terms or other variations on such terms or comparable terminology. In short: don't count your heallight chickens until they've hatched. We have already been down this road with some widely promoted medicines that have turned out to be deadly or ineffective.

Would be nice for it or any of them to work. We all want something to help us. We are desperate. But let's save the champagne and public announcements and promotions for something that is fully tested and ready to use. Otherwise it's cruel false hope. And it makes people draw connections that are not so, like sunny days being extra safe so you can let down your protection and other ideas.

@KrimpetteI cannot for the life of me understand the suggestion that as soon as the warm weather sets in, everything will be all better  I'm not on Palm Beach where Mara-Lago is, but I'm not all that far away and we've had a few 90+ days already and the numbers still aren't all that comforting.

The heat hasn't ever meant that we were safe from the flu let alone this rogue virus.

It's possible the numbers would be even higher without those 90+ days.

@Porcelain, yes, a couple of companies seemed to have garnered attention, as I posted earlier.

I would bet my house on the fact that we will not be inserting UV into our bodies. And  I hope to heck that no one will be drinking a bleach concoction.

These mindless gee what ifs based on press releases or those hawking a "cure" are a diversion that we really don't need right now.

@hckynut I think it is normal to be interested in the world around us.  The U of Washington is not recommending opening NE until late June I think.

@KarenQVC

This is the Mayor of the city in which the Nebraska Medical Center is located. There is a reason most of the 1st patients of Ebola/SARS and this Covid Virus are sent here.

I have seen nor heard this facility "recommend" anything against the Mayor's decision about this. Nothing against Washington U, but it is not located in our City, nor was it the 1st place the above mentioned diseased patients were sent.

I will stick with our Nebraska Medical Center not saying anything negative the Mayor's decision.

Everyday new story well if the heat kills it today in Az was 96 am I safe? No cuz Africa & India are hot they have the virus. Some say ultra violet rays kills it so do I leave all my grocery items in the sun for awhile? Wish we knew what kills it & how to deal with it but I will be my own Governor and protect myself. I don't think we are ready to start back but think they will do it slow. Heard this winter may get another round of it but we have no answers now hope by then we do. They are trying to figure it out but just got to wait.

@LTT1 .........Thank you.  I have always been a straight shooter and only realized in my later life that a lot of people dont like that and become offended.  I do not like inuendo's or beating around the bush when people are talking to me therefore I thought everyone was that way.   So I need a lot of help in that area therefore I need God's help.

Coronavirus pandemic inspires demand for UV airplane cleaner

A California company thinks it’s a perfect solution for decontaminating airplanes.

Dimer UCV Innovations created a UV-C-emitting cleaning machine called GermFalcon for the airline industry in 2014 - but it’s only with the coronavirus that demand has really taken off. “We didn’t want it to take a pandemic to create the demand in this industry. That’s the situation we’re in and we’re building our units as quickly as we can,” said Elliot Kreitenberg, president and cofounder of Dimer UCV Innovations.

Coronavirus pandemic inspires demand for UV airplane cleaner

GermFalcon is a food cart-sized robotic tool that is pushed down the aisle of the plane. Mechanical wings expand and emit UV-C light onto cabin surfaces. A protective barrier shields the operator from the ultraviolet light, which can be harmful. Kreitenberg said the GermFalcon can clean a typical narrow body aircraft in three minutes. UV-C can damage the nucleic acids within an organism and prevent it from replicating.

Its use as a disinfectant is fairly common in hospital and laboratory settings, experts have said. But elsewhere, such as in aviation, it is uncommon. There are three types of ultraviolet light: UV-A, UV-B and UV-C, and UV-C is the most damaging. About 95 percent of the UV radiation from the sun comes in the form of UV-A.

Organizations like CHEO Research Institute in Canada have looked at using UV-C to disinfect personal protective equipment such as N95 masks, but not surfaces.

According to University of California Santa Barbara, Seoul Semiconductor Co Ltd has been working on UV LEDs for the purpose of decontaminating surfaces. That company reported “99.9% sterilization of coronavirus in 30 seconds.”

From the Daily Mail you can also find it in usatoday, huffpost.

Christina C (wife of Chris C) wrote her Dr Lancaster an energy medicine and homeopathic physician suggested taking  a bath with bleach. Yes bleach.  She put 1/2 cup of Clorox bleach into her bath.

She posted this before it was said at the briefing.  After briefing she took down post.

Her husband didn't mention this on air.  Wonder why?
