Advise regarding TV

Hi, I posted this on electronics but thought I would put it here to. I think my 15 year old TV is going out as the sides of the picture are flickering in and out. I know nothing about electronics. Does anyone have any advise on what to look for in a new 60 plus TV? Thank you.
