Been pretty much the same from, when I started paying SS at age 12, right up to turning 84 in couple weeks. Much to my Mom's chagrin, I saw this saying by Mr. Boris Pasternak:

"Man was born to live, not to prepare for life"

Lived my life for the present not what there might be in the future. It served me well at 12, right on through my present old age.
