Re: ?Advice yr Oldr Self wld give to yr Youngr Self?

Don't let the insignificant things bother you. Appreciate and love your family, they won't be around forever. Listen to your parents, they are smarter than you and have your best interest at heart.

To myself:

Don't do anything that causes you to think less of yrself.

If you happen to do this, make amends, as soon as possible. (safely)

And,  Don't do it again!

I knew the guy I married would effect my life.   At several times during my young years, I needed to see the years beyond.

I would tell my younger self to take more risks in taking jobs and relationships. I tend to play it safe and it is not always productive. I would also say to live in the moment and to not worry so much about what might happen in the future.

Live on your own for a good while before marrying and when you do marry, be very careful in choosing that person you will be sharing your life with. Do not rush!!!

One of the most important skills in life is knowing when to leave the party.

@Tinkrbl44 ...Yes, it would be great if we all could just leave the "party" at any time, if necessary; however, unfortunately, life sometimes doesn't exactly work out that way so easily.

Definitely would tell myself to get off my rear and go out and make things happen for myself. Nobody can do it for me, I needed to make a life for myself!

Just because you can....doesn't mean you should.
