Advice on Hilton Head, SC

For those who have vacationed there, which area did you stay in and what activities did you enjoy doing? We are looking forward to going there in July and are looking to stay in North Forest Beach. My husband and children ages 11 and 8 love to ride bikes and swim. Any feedback or advice is appreciated. Thanks!
