Adult Beverage Question

Blood oranges are in and I'm ready to mix a yummy Caipirinha (Brazilian drink).

The recipe calls for a cockatil shaker, but I don't want to spend money on one if I'm going to use this once or twice.

Would a plastic container with a lid work just as well?
