My guess is the student wasn't happy with his grades. Just a guess, but it was my first thought when I heard murder-suicide and they are taking finals next week I think.
I thought this also. If I remember right there was another instance several years ago when a student killed his professor over failing grades. If that was the case it's terrible the student felt he had to go to such an extreme. I wonder if he sought help on campus.
Since he had a kill list and his estranged wife was also found dead, I think there may be more to this story.

Carrying a firearm isn't "allowed" on the UCLA campus, but someone did it anyway.
Is it something you can allow or disallow?

I guess you should ask the students who were forced to use belts, chairs and desks to secure doors which open OUT or barricade the doors at the school. What if for instance everyone carried or even some, would they at least have a fighting chance against him?

You didn't answer the question. Should carrying be allowed everywhere, including courthouses and airplanes? Or is it absurd to make those places gun free zones?

You didn't answer my question, either.
