They said they did their most sales through the catalog. I loved that catalog and bought a lot - really a lot -of the items in my home from it. I hope it does come back.

I miss those days of my childhood, looking through the Sears, Wards and JCP catalogs.

I read that it's not going to be like the old ones. It will be a little over a 100 pages.

I heard they will only offer coupons in the catalogue. No longer in newspapers.

There was an article In the Wall St. Journal today too. Personally, I haven't shopped at Penney's since they got rid of the catalog. They gave the statistics that indicated a certain percentage of the online sales were actually catalog sales. The executive who has called for the return of the catalog is the same one who originally got rid of it.

It would be nice if they did this.

We got a really nice bed spread for one of our beds from their catalog, and an electric blanket for our other bed, and they have both held up really well, for a long time now.

I would like that, and might start shopping with them regularly again. There isn't a store close to me.

In the later years when I was still getting the catalogs...I'd browse through them, then order online. A few months ago, I had a medical appt. in a nearby city where there was a store. I went in to buy towels, and couldn't get a complete set in the store and had to purchase online anyway.

Even though I might only shop online with them...the catalog gives me ideas as to what their newer products are.

I think the last few years when they still had the big catalogs...we were given the option to pay a fee, maybe $5, if we wanted it sent to us, but were given a coupon for that amount when we placed an order. How could they lose, if they do this again?
