Abusing Cows at ORGANIC Dairy Farm

[ Edited ]

This story was on my local news in Chicago today.  This Organic dairy farm is located in Texas somewhere.  The cows have been kicked, hit with shovels, poked with screwdrivers, subjected to living in filthy conditions.  This really upsets me because certain animals cannot defend themselves.  I hope the stores that carry their milk products stop doing business with them.  I would love to see them go out of business because of their cruelty to cows.

Another one?  Sounds like the story from a couple months ago.  That involved Fair Oaks Farms. a main supplier for fairlife ultrafiltered milk.

I hope someone will report them to the local authorities so an inspection of the farm can be done.  No excuse for animal abuse and the humans doing it should get the same kind of treatment.

You’re right...there was one.

I had to look it up...reported early last month at Fair Oaks Farms.

Apparently this organic farm is in Texas...with another farm opening soon near Fair Oaks Farms.

Seems the counter-argument to that & many other ‘under cover’

videos is,

”Why didn’t the undercover worker who was filming report it sooner?

They were at fault, as well as those doing the harming.”

Yes, it is a viable viewpoint, but sometimes more evidence is

needed to really make an impact for the greater good.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised...but what gets me is SO many will

say ‘But I eat/drink organic!!’ acting like it’s unicorn meat/milk.

But no....there’s some serious s*** going on everywhere with

animal farming,

@Catty2

This will garner national attention, I’m sure.

Re: Abusing Cows at ORGANIC Dairy Farm

There are rotten folks in all businesses.  MOST people who raise animals for food production don't mistreat them because that results in poorer profits if nothing else.  And most people who raise animals for food want them to be well kept for humane reasons as well.

Oganic has nothing to do with how people treat animals.  It is how they are fed, how medicine is dispensed and what is allowed, regulations about grazing land and other issues to ensure the product you consume.  It is NOT an animal welfare issue.

Lots of "news" isn't news.  Be careful of what you read and see and especially what you see that isn't backed up by fact but promoted as scare tactics from people with an agenda.  Enough said about that.

They would not show the whole video, the news station said it was too graphic.

that's why people buy nut milks and soy milk too.  What a sin.
