@shoesnbags Yes I have been getting AVG blocking this threat since yesterday, and only on QVC.
However, it would only happen when using Firefox.
If I use Chrome, it doesn't pop up.
I am also on a laptop, no other devices.

Yes, I'm on Firefox on this PC. I wonder what's going on? Must not actually be a problem, since others who don't have AVG are not getting this notice from their virus protection. Thanks for letting me know that you see it, too.

Yes I get that message. It says it's infected due to connection of cloudfront.net
URL: Blacklist.

To answer your virus question! No, I am not. However, when I see AVG?
My very first thought goes to the Hero Flying Group in WWII called the Flying Tigers. They were called AVG, but to me they will remain

I have Norton and no issues here. Maybe it's a glitch somewhere?

@shoesnbags wrote:Today I keep getting messages from my AVG virus protection saying that they've detected and stopped a threat on the QVC forums site. I'm not getting this message on any other site I've visited today (including ProBoards, which some posters were so concerned about). But every time I come back to QVC over the day, I get this same AVG message. I scanned the computer, and no other problems were found.
Anyone else getting a similar message today?
Norton found this on my computer.
VirTool:Win32/DefenderTamperingRestore is a detection name of a potential threat that is flagged by Windows Defender security software. The main purpose of the infection is to tamper with the installed anti-malware, weaken computer defenses, and compromise the device.
It looks like both Windows Defender and Norton spotted it and was removed.
It could have a different name given by other anti-viral software.
I have no idea if this is the cause of your alert by AVG.

Nothing today.
Same here - no messages today. I think it may be just what @Foxxee said - whatever was causing this problem on the QVC site was removed. It was clearly not on our individual devices, since AVG and Norton both saw the threat. I'm just glad it's gone. And thanks to everyone who replied!
