Almost 4 weeks ago I tripped going upstairs and took the fall on my shoulder. Originally X-rays indicated not broken, but my shoulder hurt like **** and was deep purple from the elbow to shoulder. I also could not use that arm and had very restrictive movement.

An MRI showed tears in rotator cuff, labrum, and a compression fracture of the humerus. One orthopedist said complete shoulder replacement. I have a second opinion tomorrow. This is cramping my style, as I use an iPad and it's not too easy with one hand, not to mention the pain. Luckily there is no arthritis in the shoulder.

I have missed many posts and will try and go back to see them.

Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. This is cramping my style!

I hope you don't have to get surgery which I've heard is very difficult.

I know how much it hurts cause I fx my shoulder almost 2 years ago when the ladder I was on to the ceiling fell with me in it.

It wasn't displaced so I didn't get or want surgery but it was black all on my left side.

I hope you heal and I hope it becomes less painful too!

But I'm so glad to "see" you!

Don't know if this helps, but I text and compose with my index finger using SWYPE which is available on both Android and iPhone products. You use your finger on the first letter of the word and do not lift your finger but swipe (SWYPE) it along until the word is complete. In words with double letters, just do a tiny loop de loop in that double letter.

I can use SWYPE with both index fingers.

I am sorry to hear about your accident and I too miss you on the Wick post. Please keep us posted as to your second opinion. I hope whatever needs to be done to your shoulder takes away the pain, heals you completely and brings back good health and peace of mind.
