I'm home alone a lot - so I always talk to myself. My little dog always looks at me funny. Woman LOL

I so agree. If I encounter one more millenial that not only does not count back my change, but looks like a deer in the headlights if I give them exact coin change with a ten or a twenty. I bought a piece of pie at Village Inn several months ago, took out a twenty, and while I was getting 80 cents out of my wallet, the cashier rang up my pie ($4.80). When I handed her twenty dollars and 80 cents, she said I couldn't do that - she could only take the twenty because she had already rung up the sale. I asked her if the price was different if I gave her the 80 cents (messing with her a little) and she replied no. I tried to walk her through calculating the change for $20.80 minus $4.80 and she could not figure out 20 minus 4. This has happened to me multiple times and is now a pet peeve. Why are the managers of these businesses not training their cashiers to count back change (my change back is wrong about a 3rd of the time) and why are the schools not teaching basic math?
