Re: APRIL the Giraffe is HAVING HER BABY!

There's Alyssa talking to her...  you know she's more excited than anyone about this..

I can't imagine trying to help deliver a giraffe calf, it would be very dangerous but as @Bird mama said, it needed the medical people will address it.

Re: APRIL the Giraffe is HAVING HER BABY!

I was going to go to the grocery store to beat the crowd, but not now.  This is why I didn't tune in to the live feed for the past month.  I work full time and probably would've gotten fired for watching April instead of doing what they pay me for :-)

I wonder if she keeps turning around and licking the legs as some form of encouragement?!

@KingstonsMom  I've never been pregnant, however I imagine the pressure and stretching that is required to pass her baby is pinching and uncomfortable. You moms out there would know better than me.

Oliver innocently watching; April looking at him hatefully!

@mousiegirl  From what I know about 90 minutes.  Your daughter is a vet, should I be concerned?

@Bird mama

My daughter weighed 9lbs., 10oz. and was 21.5" long.....my labor took 21.5 hours!

I can't even imagine a 150lb., 6' baby, LOL!

@LTT1  I think April is just walking it out.  At this point I don't think she is giving Oliver any time, lol.
