I retired in 2019.  Worked as secretary to a high school Principal so I was up at 5:30a every morning and out the door by 7:05a.  Did I mention I was never a morning person??

Even though I'm retired, I work 2 part time jobs.  One is an on-call sub at our local school district.  Last week I covered the secretary to a high school principal while she was out.  Hours were 7a to 3p.  I am admitting that I am OLD!  Friday night I forced myself to stay up until 9p.  It was the first Monday-Friday I have worked since June 2019.  And I had to work Saturday at my other job.Woman Frustrated

So ladies, wishing you a good, easy work week!

Re: ANOTHER WEEK OF WORK

[ Edited ]

@roeroe1005

I retired in 1991. I worked as a Machine Operator and a Quality Control Technician. Worked exactly 33 years to the day, at Western Electric, which later became AT&T. Punched a clock on all my different jobs.

Haven't worked a day since, and have never had any desire to do so. Most of my retired years I have had more than enough things going that I would never omit for working again.

Many of my work weeks started on Sunday night at Midnight, which made Saturday, pretty much my Sunday. Those were very different work weeks for sure.

I am not a lady, some have even called me a gentleman.

When I started working from home, Mondays became a lot easier.

When I had my long career at an 8:30 to 5:00 job, while raising children, it was a bit stressful. My husband travelled quite a bit, so it was all up to me to do it all. Somehow the unintentional “habit” of not being able to fall asleep on Sunday nights became a thing. Kids are grown, I still work but in a less stressful job, but the ritual continues of sleepless Sunday nights.

Easier, yep. But I  want to be free from the total dysfunction I face every single work day.

Sunday nights are so hard lately.
