a264147 This morning, when the models came out with this dress which had the lace sleeves, one had the dress covered up with a sweater that had just been shown. The only part you could see of the dress was the bottom!

The next model came out with a huge bulky scarf covering the front of this supposedly summer dress!

The presentation after it got to the models, was pretty quick and then the host went onto the facebook things, said go to her facebook page and showed different peoples favorite places to take a stroll.

OKay-my point and there is one-please tell the stylists or whoever sends the models out to not cover things up that they are trying to present!

I just don't get it unless they are trying to cover up the obvious flaws. If so just say so and why it is on sale.I could never really see the shape of this dress except on the hangar and it looked like a box. Well, maybe that is why they covered it up. I don't know.

This is not the first time a dress (which I actually hope to find one day if I can see it and see how it fits!!), they have done this. Its so frustrating and the host nor vendor did not seem to think anything of it or how absurd it all was.

I know this is maybe a small thing to complain about, but that is what we are here for-to watch, hopefully buy stuff that is sold live where we can see it. We are not trying to solve world peace here , just see and watch, even watch to just enjoy watching or getting away from all the problems of the world, and maybe just maybe buy a dang dress!

And while I'm at it, there is a camera person mostly on at late night hours who only shows close ups mostly the whole time so you see hands and whatever and these talking voices-its so weird. Some of the other channels do that and it is awful. Then if they show the host/vendor they do the shot so far away, you can't see the hosts face or what they are selling.I'm just surprised a company as huge as QVC doesn't have better camera and set up people.

One more thing-please tell the hosts to not "act"=putting on a fake, hyper, overly cute falsely enthusiastic show.

For an example of a great host (and there are others) watch Alberti.

And please tell them to stop yelling at us-thats not enthusiasm. Just act like normal people!

Thanks-I already feel better.

Covering up the items they're trying to sell irks me too.

I want to see the neckline, so they could lose the scarfs and when they put sweaters, jackets or other tops (like LOGO) over the item they're selling, it says to me that his item doesn't look good on it's own, so why would I buy it?

Disingenuous of them, IMO.

Its true-I have thought these things for awhile and finally thought, okay I'm going to get this out there! And it probably won't change a thing, but yeah sometimes you just need to ventSmiley Happy

@on the bay I so agree with everything you said. Just as an aside, I can always tell if the camera man is male or female. The males haven't got a clue.

I did not watch that particular presentation, but I understand what you mean and agree about not showing the item being presented. A few weeks ago, the item was a lace trimmed tank top, and the models were wearing jackets and cardigans and no one had it on "as is", although the vendor and the host said it was adorable that way. I couldn't tell the length, I couldn't see if it was boxy, I couldn't see anything! The jacket and sweater covered the whole top. Why even bother presenting it that way?

And another pet peeve is that the hosts rarely tell us what size the models are wearing. I know the measurements are posted online, but it really helps to have a point of comparison. There is one model, I think her name is Monica, who is kind of built like me, and others who may be slightly smaller than I am. If I knew what size they were, I could order accordingly. It should not be top secret! Occasionally the sizes are given, usually the model who is large, but unfortunately that does not help me. Sometimes they start out with her, but do not finish with the other models.

I saw the presentation and have to agree.  Half of the presentation was over before you got a glimpse of the lace sleeves.  Didn't really care for the sleeves, maybe that's why they delayed showing them.

You know- re the sleeves. I read the reviews (hoping to get some actual information) and several said the sleeves were made so that they kind of stuck out or up and also that it definitely needed ironing. I didn't really see the models enough to see the sleeves, but the vendor said just to steam them and she "didn't have a problem with the sleeves" (which made me think there was a problem!)

So Long story short -or long vent-

I guess thats why it was on sale and why they never really showed it that much.

Yes disingenious! or deceptive but since we would pay the shipping back and forth, I guess it doesn't affect them that much and money is made on shipping.

But this makes me not trust that much.
