This is a huge waste of resources that are already way too thin.

Would you feel the same way if it had been YOUR child who was wrongly accused and executed? Having his name cleared is the LEAST that could be done for the family.

Is there any family? Certainly his parents are either dead or extremely old.He wpould be 84 - how old would any family be???He would not have children. Is there any family ? If there is do they desire to have this all dragged up again?

Sisters, brothers, cousins? Like I said...the LEAST that could be done is to clear his name. Nieces, nephews?

Yes, HH. His sister being the most important"...The sister of a 14-year-old boy executed in South Carolina in 1944 said Thursday she is ecstatic that a judge has finally tossed out his murder conviction but is still haunted by the injustice that sent him to the electric chair..."

Such a horrible, HORRIBLE shame! I hope he's exonerated.

One might think - too little too late, but it's never too late for justice. By the same token, it's shameful that it has taken so long.

"Seventy years after South Carolina executed a 14-year-old boy so small he sat on a phone book in the electric chair, a circuit court judge threw out his murder conviction."

It doesn't really even matter if he has living relatives or not. It was an injustice, a stain on our legal system, and it needs to be righted. This is what keeps us strong: correcting wrongs. Goodness knows there are untold cases like this one in our past. They cannot all be addressed, but addressing some acknowledges the pain and suffering that was endured.
