I don't have anyone else to vent to at the moment but feel the need to, so here goes! A lady friend of my coworker frequently stops by to see him and chit chat. He has told me this woman has a crush on him (she's married and he's single), so I'm assuming he likes the attention. Her perfume stinks and she's a non-stop talker and she sits right on the other side of our soft walled offices and yacks and yacks about nothing related to business - all personal. It's hard not to hear her or smell her when she shows up, and while it really irritates me, I try my hardest to tune her out. Now, this is a guy who always complains to our boss that he has way too much work to do and not enough time in which to do it. Wellllll, as much as she visits (a short visit is normally 30 mins. in length), he wastes alot of time. Also, if she happens to stop by and he's not there or he's busy, she proceeds to plant herself in someone else's office (sometimes mine) until such time that he's free. She doesn't do it to me anymore, though, because I have all but ignored her when she did it - I have work to do!! Today she's been in his office 50 mins. so far. Our secretary just told me the other day that another coworker mentioned to her that she thinks this lady has a crush on him, and says it doesn't look good, so others have noticed this. Should anything be said to our boss or should we just keep our lips zipped? This is not something I would normally stick my nose into or blab to my boss about, but it's getting under my skin having to listen to her yack about nothing and smell her stinky self, and try to tune her out so that I can do my job!
I don't really need to have an answer, but just wanted to vent - thank you for listening!
