One would think so, @Cakers3, but it is actually flavorless. It's not the same as cocoa powder we might bake with. It has antioxidants that are beneficial to circulation, heart, and brain.

72% cacao Ghirardelli dark chocolate is what I buy. I usually have one square per day (sometimes two).

Where do you buy the flavorless cocoa bean extract? All of the cocoa bean extracts I have looked at say they have great flavor.

It's the coco. The sugar added kills it though. Dark chocolate over milk chocolate rules. Americans love milk chocolate because of extra sugar added. But European chocolate is mostly dark. Dark is better because of more coco.

Because milk chocolate has less coco, you just need to eat more of it to compensate.
