A question for those familiar with Home Goods

We have a Home Goods opening in my area in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone knew if Home Goods traditionally had a 'soft opening' before the Grand Opening?

TIA

I don't know.  Home Goods opened near me a few years ago but I didn't go until after it was open six months or more.  You'll just have to keep an eye on the building to tell whether the store's soft-opened.

No idea, but if I wanted to know, I would contact corporate and ask about the store location I was interested in.

Interesting question.. The thing about Home Goods is their merchandise changes so often, if you don't go in practically every day it seems, you might miss the bargain of a lifetime!.. Mine was a large oval Le Creuset  Dutch oven for $ 59,! Never saw  another one just like it..and that was 6 years ago!

Re: A question for those familiar with Home Goods

I think a lot of businesses have a soft opening to work out the kinks and make sure the staff is trained before the grand opening rush. I assume they would too, but as others suggested, a call to corporate might give you the info you want.

We have a second Home Goods opening in our area, and I have shopped the first one for years and really like the quality, selection, and prices. They do an especially good job with seasonal decor (IMHO). I recently purchased a swag for the front door and a fall wreath for the mirror over the fireplace mantle and have gotten numerous compliments on both. I paid $35 total.

If you have never been to a "Home Goods"...Let me tell you...You are going to love that store.  I say, "I am going in looking for something in particular and end up coming out the 6 other items".

I went to the Home Goods grand opening in my town a year ago and the lines were horrible.  They get trucks in with new merchandise twice a week so you definitely need to go in often to check the new items.

Re: A question for those familiar with Home Goods

I really like Home Goods but I have noticed how much higher their prices are on certain things than T J Maxx and Marshalls. Luckily our TJ Maxx's are really nice. Marshalls just so so. So remember to still shop around and compare prices.

I do like the overall feel of Home Goods. Feels like a regular department store. I'm sure like everything else, this varies from city to city.

Our Home Goods and TJ Maxx are in one store. Is this common or are they usually different stores?
